To overcome urban planning and environmental issues, as well as to support smart city development in the Way Halim Permai Village in Bandar Lampung City, a digital photogrammetry survey was performed, capturing images of a 50.3-hectare area. The area included many residences, green open space, roads, and retail shopping centers. To process the captured data and images into geo-referenced BIM and reality models, and to create 3D web-based maps, the project team needed comprehensive reality modeling technology.

They selected ContextCapture to integrate BIM and GIS information and generate various types of 3D models and maps, digitally organizing the city in an integrated manner. The Bentley-based solution provides accurate 3D visualization, location, and preservation of assets and city data, facilitating better decision-making in terms of spatial planning, disaster relief and prevention, and environmental protection. The digitalization efforts will help realize smart city implementation and sustainable urban development in both residential and commercial areas in Bandar Lampung.
