Rhyda M Rasha is a 4.5-year digital city initiative to develop an integrated smart town in Salem, Tamil Nadu, India, including intelligent transport, healthcare, energy networks, and water and waste management systems. Lexuar began developing the project during COVID-19 and faced coordination and data management issues with a 40-member team working remotely. They realized that they needed to establish a digitally connected data environment to complete the design on time.
They selected ProjectWise and Bentley’s open modeling applications to customize an integrated workspace, eliminating the need to manage and convert separate CAD files, which streamlined workflows and data integration. Working in Bentley’s digital platform accelerated collaboration and enabled real-time, multidiscipline design reviews, reducing the number of drawing outputs and design delivery time by 35%.
