To rebuild an old parking lot for a commercial building in Hong Kong’s central business district, this project team was tasked with helping the contractor present their construction methodology to the owner, requiring best practices for time savings and cost efficiency. They faced site constraints given the central location, presenting limited space for logistics and equipment transport, as well as challenges with multisourced models requiring integration. After testing various software products, they realized that they needed interoperable construction simulation technology that could easily synchronize the models with the project program.

They selected SYNCHRO 4D to integrate the different source models and elements into a single platform, generating a visual representation of the construction process. Using Bentley’s application helped stakeholders and the owner clearly understand the construction sequence. Working in a digitally connected 4D modeling environment streamlined communication for upcoming construction works.
