To increase efficient and renewable energy capacity, the 1,380-megawatt Konya Karapinar solar power plant will, upon completion, provide 21.18% of Turkey’s installed solar power. The plant spans 20 million square meters and features 3.5 million mounted solar cells. Kaylon Construction faced coordination and management issues given the large project scale. They realized that previous traditional scheduling and reporting tools were insufficient and needed integrated digital modeling and simulation applications.

Kaylon Construction selected ContextCapture and SYNCHRO 4D for reality modeling and visual construction monitoring. They synchronized the models and construction schedule to visualize the ongoing construction works and current project state, streamlining information sharing among field and office workers and providing a better understanding of the construction site conditions. With instant data available from the field through the 4D models, they accurately predicted construction delays and optimized scheduling, which will save 5% in project costs. After project completion, they will use the models for facility management.
