Shandong Iron & Steel Group decided to build a 2x65-megawatt surplus gas power generation facility. Shandong Province Metallurgical Engineering is responsible for design, construction, and trial operation. The project presented a small footprint and a complicated pipeline layout, as well as required digital delivery. They used Bentley’s factory digital design applications to rationally arrange the massive piping system and maximize the use of vertical space. By accurately reducing the pipeline height and resolving clashes prior to construction, they improved design quality by 13%.
