Serving the San Francisco Bay Area in California, Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) manages a large amount of data. Working from two separate data sources, they struggled with data repetition without a single source of truth. Additionally, they had strict, elaborate security workflows, making it difficult to collaborate with vendors and ESPs. To streamline their project creation and collaboration, they sought a connected data environment.
PG&E turned to a cloud-hosted ProjectWise environment to improve how they work. They spent months discussing, reworking, and modifying their system to create a platform that allowed all users to access and collaborate on projects. Reducing rework and eliminating the time wasted waiting for file transfers, PG&E’s vendors can use the system while automatically following company standards and workflows. They expect to save USD 3.5 million as a result.
