A KRW 190 billion project involves demolishing two existing purification plants at Bisan and Poil, as well as designing a new facility in Bisan. Kunhwa faced challenges implementing the plant shutdowns, compounded by existing facilities that made it difficult to design the new plant’s entryway. They tried using traditional methods to capture and model the existing site, but they were too slow and lacked detailed measurement information needed for real-time design.
They selected ContextCapture and Bentley’s open modeling applications, capturing and processing precise site information and performing real-time design. By integrating design data and drone-capture data, they could more efficiently perform design reviews. The solution allowed them to maintain smooth operation of the purifications plants and simultaneously develop an economical civil engineering plan, reduce interference of nearby facilities with the entryway, and generate an optimal design for the entryway to the new plant.
