BLCP Power operates a 25-year-old, 717-megawatt coal-fired power plant in Thailand. BLCP Power selected OpenPlant to create intelligent piping and instrumentation diagrams and convert laser-scanned data into smart 3D models, using it as their digital twin platform. Leveraging Bentley’s applications, they linked the 3D models with their databases to integrate historical asset and maintenance data. This practice established an accurate visual representation to help management and technicians quickly identify and resolve issues, eliminating idle time searching for disparate data and documents. The digital twin solution provides data-driven insight that improves design and engineering workflows, maintenance, plant reliability, and decision-making.
