Tantnagar is a rural section of eastern India’s Jharkhand, consisting of 76 villages. Most of the water comes from individual handpumps around the area. To improve quality of life in the region, Shriram EPC was tasked with providing 100% piped water supply coverage using a sustainable water source. Their design needed to be efficient and account for both construction costs and operational energy expenditures. They also had to consider the variations on water demand for agricultural purposes.
